Evan Erickson has requested for this feature to be added in Edwiser Bridge plugin.
He has also suggested this encryption for stronger security: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pretty_Good_Privacy
Please upvote this thread if you too want this to be introduced in the base plugin.

This is needed if you're using the Moodle Mobile App, if someone resets their password in Moodle then the credentials will NOT be the same in WordPress. If you're using the SSO Integration and then someone tried to login via the Moodle Mobile App, the passwords will not match and you have to manually update/set the password in both WordPress/Moodle for someone to use the Mobile App... this is gaping hole in functionality for SSO.
